Psychologist
Leena St Martin
Leena St Martin has worked as a clinical psychologist continuously for the past ten years since graduating from the University of Auckland. Initially she worked in community mental health for five years and gained broad experience in assisting people with severe psychological difficulties. For the past five years she has divided her time between private practice and a large hospital where she specialises in women's health, particularly gynaecological and sexual difficulties. She has a special interest in helping women manage chronic pelvic pain, and sexual pain problems such as vaginismus. She has presented at conferences locally and internationally on the subject of chronic pelvic pain and currently has an article in press on the topic. Before training to be a clinical psychologist she spent six years as a Lifeline counsellor, travelled widely and worked in a variety of corporate settings. Current leisure interests include off-road running, finnish folk dancing, belly dancing, and book and wine appreciation. Qualifications Master of Arts (First Class Honours), University of Auckland Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, University of Auckland.
