Our Strengths
The strengths of our services are a focus on individualised care for women and the comprehensive multidisciplinary nature of the service.
To achieve this we:
- Work in partnership with women, involving our patients in their management decision-making
- Offer evidence based surgical, medical, alternative and supportive therapy
- Encourage a multidisciplinary approach, working together simultaneously where appropriate
- Promote education and information sharing for women with endometriosis about the condition and its management
- Link with New Zealand Endometriosis Foundation
- Promote education for fellow specialists and GPs
- Collect data with a view to critically analysing our practice
- Promote research into endometriosis
- Foster national and international collaborations with other centres of excellence
